SPOILER ALERT! If you have not yet watched the 2-hour season finale of ‘Scream Queens,’ do not read any further. HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY interviewed one of the killers and this person revealed a lot of behind-the-scenes secrets and hinted at a possible Season 2 return!
Now that you’ve (hopefully) watched the 2-hour season finale of Scream Queens — which was both totally insane and epically amazing — it’s time to find out all the details behind that shocking final scene and what’s in store for Season 2. One of the killers, who we’ll refrain from naming until after the jump, spoke out in an EXCLUSIVE interview with HollywoodLife.com and answered all your burning questions! And the final scene, during which Pete told his story and actually defended his horrific actions, lasted an entire act (13 pages of script to be exact). “It was the longest scene I’ve ever shot in my life — my favorite scene I’ve ever shot in my career,” Diego told us. And the best part about it, according to him, was that “the dialogue in the scene was so brilliantly written. And the lines I was given to justify my actions was really really interesting. I was just honored that I got to play that and had fun doing it.”
Diego had fun filming the scene, but unfortunately, his character, Pete, didn’t survive the finale. He actually got killed by Lea Michele‘s character, and what’s crazy about that scene is that “during Season 1 Episode 11, where [Pete] was on the phone talking to someone, and [he] went to the closet and looked at that red devil costume, in the last take, the director pranked me and had one of the prop guys be inside the closet and scared the s*** out of me. And then that’s how they actually ended up killing my character on the show. But in the final version, it was Lea’s character in the closet. Just when I was about to tell Grace who the last killer is, I got killed. It was the exact same way I was pranked, without initially knowing that’s how I was going to die.” So funny!
Diego concluded by saying that shooting the finale was a total “roller coaster.” And after watching it, we think that was the perfect way to describe it because it felt the same way while watching it! There’s no word if Diego will return for Season 2, despite his death, but he said they should be discussing that “soon.” We’ll keep our fingers crossed!
