It’s the final week of Season 21 of ‘DWTS’ and the remaining four couples had to push themselves to the limit, mentally and physically. See which three couples will battle it out in the final episode and watch the most emotional dance of the season below.
Dancing with the Stars is down to the wire and the contestants have given their all to be in the finale. Bindi Irwin and Derek Hough‘s final freestyle had the entire — I mean, entire — ballroom in tears. Watch it and read a full recap of the night here. Now, onto the dances! This week, the contestants were coached by a judge to improve a dance from earlier in the season.
Carlos PenaVega and Witney Carson danced their Foxtrot, which earned them 8’s in week 2. Bruno Tonioli was their mentor this week and commented after their dance: “Heartbreaker! That is the way to dance the Foxtrot! Your footwork — fabulous!” Julianne Hough said: “I gotta tell you, that was the sexiest Foxtrot I think I’ve ever seen. It was a huge improvement from last time.” Carrie Ann Inaba said: “tonight, you’ve proven you deserve to be here. You commanded the stage tonight!” They got a 30, their first perfect score of the season!
Alek Skarlatos and Lindsay Arnold danced their Rumba, with notes from Carrie Ann. Alek previously danced the “sexy” dance with Emma Slater during the switch-up week, so he was concerned about dancing with Lindsay, who is like his “sister!” Bruno said it was framed beautifully but said it needed more hip action. Carrie Ann said “your strong point is this strength and determination that you have…I felt the connection on an emotional level. Well done.” Julianne said “the hip action was a bit weak” but commended his courage for coming out in gray, silk pajamas — LOL! They got a 27 out of 30.
Then, Meghan returned and belted out her ballad “Like I’m Gonna Lose You.” Breathtaking!
Nick Carter and Sharna Burgess danced the Jive with tips from Julianne. “Cowabunga! That was ridiculous! That was one of the hardest, most content filled routines! Nick, you stand equal to Sharna tonight! Worship!” Carrie Ann said. Julianne said: “you did it! You performed the crap out of that!” Bruno said: “sex bomb! You nailed those kicks and flicks! You never went wrong!” The audience was so loud! Of course, they got a perfect 30! Much improved from the first time when they got a 21!
