Beyonce just released rehearsal footage of she and Nicki Minaj’s Tidal performance and it is so epic, we need a new word for ‘epic.’ Practicing a thing called ‘Ice Grilling,’ you almost forget you’re watching the two divas of our time because they’re so adorable. Almost. Watch immediately!
You may think that Beyonce, 34, and Nicki Minaj, 32, wake up flawless, but actually, it requires hard work and practice, just like the rest of us. For the duo’s joint performance at TIDAL X: 1020 Amplified by HTC concert at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn on Oct. 20, the two practiced everything– right down to their fierce stares at one another, which they refer to as “ice grilling.” Ugh, just like, everything goals. Watch the insane video below!In the video, which already casually has more than 3 million views, the two powerful women stand clad in all black (duh), with their backsides to one another, before turning around to serve some flipping sass. As the beat begins to drop, they turn to face one another.
By the way, ice grill me as long as you can,” Beyonce says to her. What we can infer, then, is that Bey wants Nicki to essentially snarl at her while holding a most intense eye contact until it gets a little weird.
But then Queen Bey ups the ante, suggesting to Nicki, “Let’s have a contest, let’s see who cracks first.” Beyonce is honest, though, because queen. “I have a feeling, I’m gonna crack first,” she says.
