The 2015 American Music Awards featured some of the biggest names in music, so of course it would have some amazing moments! From Meghan Trainor and Charlie Puth making out, to Selena Gomez’s sizzling performance, to Justin Bieber closing the show in the rain, the Nov. 22 event left audiences begging for more. Here’s a look at all that went down!
The stage barely held all the star power during the 43rd American Music Awards. After an incredible year in music, fans eagerly wondered what could go down when host Jennifer Lopez, 46, was joined by music’s hottest names. The AMAs didn’t disappoint, with One Direction rocking the house, Gwen Stefani nearly bringing the audience to tears to Justin Bieber, 21, and his unbelievable finale! From there, it was full steam ahead. Selena Gomez and Justin were the talk of the night, even before the award shows began. Selly and Biebs reunited at the Montage Beverly Hills hotel and their night ended with a kiss! There was no sign of Justin when Serena took to the AMAs stage to sing “Same Old Love,” but she still crushed it.
Speaking of crushing it, Meghan Trainor and Charlie Puth totally rocked their performance of “Marvin Gaye.” While the song invites listeners to “get it on,” Megan and Charlie seemed to take their own advice. At the end of the song, the two of them made out!
There wasn’t a dry eye in the house after Gwen Stefani’s performance of “Used to Love You,” reportedly written after her breakup with husband, Gavin Rossdale. Gwen has since moved on to Blake Shelton, who has given her plenty of reasons to smile.
One Direction also went through a breakup this year, when Zayn Malik left the group. However, Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson and Niall Horan didn’t let it bother them when they performed “Perfect.” And this rocking performance was — for lack of a better word — perfect!
Though they had a playful rivalry going, even 1D had to give it up for Justin Bieber’s wet and wild finale to the AMAs. Justin began by playing some acoustic versions of “What Do You Mean?”, before breaking into “Where Are U Now?” Justin then made it rain for “Sorry,” turning the stage into a water park!
